These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the yappah website and web application (the "Service"), operated by Logarythms ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. what yappah is

yappah is a daily speaking-practice tool: you receive a speaking topic, record yourself talking for up to 90 seconds, and receive an automatically generated transcript and AI feedback on your delivery, along with optional AI-generated content assets. The feedback is produced by artificial intelligence and is provided for practice and self-improvement purposes only - it is not professional advice and may occasionally be inaccurate.

2. eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. your content

  • You retain all rights to what you say in your recordings and to your transcripts. You grant us the limited licence needed to process your recordings and transcripts to operate the Service (transcription, analysis, feedback, and features you invoke).
  • Voice recordings are processed and immediately discarded; they are never stored. See our Privacy Policy.
  • You agree not to use the Service to record or generate content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing on others' rights.

4. accounts

Certain features may require an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. payments, challenges, and refunds

Prices are shown on the pricing page, payments are processed by Razorpay, and cancellations and refunds - including the 14-Day Challenge earn-back programme - are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. acceptable use

  • No attempting to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service.
  • No automated or scripted use intended to farm challenge rewards, streaks, or free-tier limits.
  • We may reverse challenge cash-back and suspend access where we reasonably determine rewards were obtained through fraud or automation rather than genuine practice.

7. intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, brand, and prompt content, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

8. availability and changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is in active development (beta), and features may change, break, or be withdrawn. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to paid features.

9. limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹1,000 if you have paid nothing). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

10. governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurgaon, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold.

11. changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
